The last time we did a sushi review, we opted to try a “Chain restaurant”. But I recently traveled to Vancouver, Canada and wanted to try a sushi joint that the everyday person enjoys. No big names, no franchised restaurants, just straight Mom-n-Pops sushi. So if you’re traveling to Vancouver or you’re a local looking for a new eatery, then you gotta check out Mr. Sushi. Tucked away in North Vancouver’s Lynn Valley Centre is a small mom & pops sushi bar with an authentic feel. At first glance, I was wondering why the place was so small and I assumed it was a fast food type sushi joint, but once inside Mr. Sushi was definitely authentic sushi. The dining room has seating for around 12 total, not including the sushi bar, and we had no problem getting seated. After being seated, we ordered and within 7-8 minutes we had our lunch. Mr. Sushi was clean, the sushi was fresh and the staff was very courteous. Prices were extremely reasonable $$ ($10-$30) as we ate the above sushi for $26.00, tip excluded. Check out their Facebook page for more info: https://www.facebook.com/mr.sushi.lynn.valley and don’t forget to read my article on Sushi Bar Etiquette before you visit. 3feetnopressure.com provides food ratings based on an A-F grading scale.
